Waar ligt Ter Horst

(Loenen, province of Gelderland) Ter Horst was built in 1557 for Arnhem mayor Hacfort. His family owned the house until 1875, and commenced major renovations and additions in 1792. The house acquired an elegant neoclassical facade, reminiscent of mansions along Amsterdam's canals, but the sides and backside reveal the older origins, with picturesque gables and renaissance features. In 1913, Springer designed the English garden in which the house is set. Today, Ter Horst is the private home of the Schoonderwoerd family. During summer months there are occasional guided tours, and the house is also the setting for weddings. www.kasteelterhorst.nl
